THE TRADITIONAL FUNERAL/TRIBUTE SERVICE

This will include the local transfer of the deceased to the funeral home, services of a funeral director and staff, an arrangement conference with the family, a professionally composed obituary story, coordinating details with those involved in the service, securing required permits, embalming and other preparation of the body, use of all funeral home facilities for visitation and ceremony, including transfer to local church if necessary, required permits, recorded music, funeral coach, lead/flower car and use of a family sedan. Excludes all merchandise, cash advance items* and applicable taxes.

 

CONTEMPORARY SERVICE      Visitation / Funeral Same Day

Includes the same attention to details and use of facilities as The Traditional Funeral/Tribute Service, with the visitation being held 1 - 2 hours prior to the ceremony.  Burial to take place following the service.                                                                                                                                            Excludes all merchandise, cash advance items* and applicable taxes.

CONTEMPORARY EVENING SERVICE      Visitation / Funeral Same Day

Includes the same attention to details and use of facilities as The Traditional Funeral/Tribute Service, with the visitation being held 1 - 2 hours prior to an evening ceremony.  Arrangements for burial the following day to be at the discretion of the cemetery and funeral home with no formal committal service.                                                                                                                                       Excludes all merchandise, cash advance items* and applicable taxes.

RECEIVING FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME      Traditional Service

This package may be selected when we receive a casketed body from another funeral home facility.  Includes conference with funeral director and services of staff, attention and coordinating details with those involved in the service, and required permits.  A professionally composed obituary story for the local papers, transfer of the deceased from the Indianapolis airport if required, use of all facilities for visitation and ceremony, including transfer to a local church if necessary, recorded music, funeral coach, lead/flower car and use of family sedan.   Excludes vault selection, cemetery fees, or cash advance items* and applicable taxes.

 

RECEIVING FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME      Contemporary Service - Visitation / Funeral Same Day

RECEIVING FROM ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME      Graveside / Chapel Service
When no visitation or ceremony is planned in the funeral home or church facility, this package provides for transporting the deceased from the Indianapolis airport if required, shelter of deceased, transfer to a local cemetery and coordination of a simple graveside or chapel service.   Excludes vault selection, cemetery fees, or cash advance items* and applicable taxes.

 

 

ANATOMICAL GIFTS

 

ANATOMICAL GIFT – Indiana University School of Medicine

You may choose to present the body as a gift for research and/or a medical school student study program through our funeral home..  At the conclusion of such a program cremation will take place and the ashes will be returned if so desired.  This includes transfer to the funeral home, an arrangement conference with the family, the required embalming of the body, permits, a professionally composed obituary story and transportation to Indianapolis. Our services also include a private family viewing of the body here at our facility prior to the transfer to Indianapolis.  Following the research or study program the ashes may be returned to our funeral home and a graveside service arranged. A public visitation period and service may also take place prior to the transfer to Indianapolis.  Additional fees will apply.              Excludes cemetery fees, cash advance items* and applicable taxes.

 

 

DIRECT ANATOMICAL GIFT – Indiana University School of Medicine
You may choose to present the body as a gift for research and/or a medical school student study program by directly contacting the Indiana University School of Medicine. David B. Burr, Ph.D.  ph. 317-274-7450 This type of gift eliminates the involvement of our funeral home and the ability for the family to view the body following preparation.
