Alice Books, 65, 18549 W. 6B Road, Plymouth, died of natural causes at 3:50 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2004, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
Born in LaPorte County on January 28, 1939, Alice was the third child born to Howard Glen and Viola Eva Nelson Ramsby.
She was first married to John G. Nieubuurt of Walkerton, Ind. Seven children were born of that marriage. She later married Glen Elwood Books of Plymouth.
Alice enjoyed cards, dice games, reading and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her seven children. They are: Mark A. Nieubuurt; Daniel C. Nieubuurt; David L. Nieubuurt; Alice G. Waytts; Marian L. White; Fern M. Nibblelink and Billy S. Nieubuurt.
Numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive. She is also survived by a brother, Joe Ramsby.
Her parents and a brother, Charles Edward “Tubby” Ramsby who died in 1968, preceded her in death.
There will be no visitation.
