Anna Lee Wyman

Anna “Ann” Lee Wyman, 89, will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother with a kind and gentle attitude, loved by all. Ann, living at 400 W. Washington St., was a Plymouth resident for five and one-half years, coming from the San Diego, California area. She died of natural causes at 11:37 p.m., on Friday, May 11, 2001, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth. She was born in Lake Victor, Texas, on June 17, 1911, the daughter of Joseph H. and Pearl Gilmore Wood. She graduated from a high school in Texas. On March 5, 1946, in Denver, Colorado, Ann and Whitney Kenneth “Ken” Wyman were married. Ken died on July 28, 1990. Ann had worked in retail sales in a department store in Calif., and was also co-owner of a jewelry store with her husband, Ken. She enjoyed raising cactus plants. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Nile. Ann is survived by two sons and two daughters and their families. Her sons are: Robert W. and Kay Chambers, San Diego, Calif., and William K. and Ruth Wyman, Mount Vernon, Ohio. Her daughters are: Patricia A. and John Russell, Cave Creek, Ariz., and Sandra K. and Stan Ellsworth, Plymouth, Ind. Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ken, and two brothers. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 15, 2001, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Funeral services for Ann will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Todd Kauffman, assistant pastor of the Liberty Baptist Church, Rochester, Ind., will officiate. Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Ind. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association.
