
Annabelle K. Peregrine, age 87, passed away at 1:17 p.m. on Tuesday, March 05, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Annabelle was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on May 19, 1925 to Robert B. and Mildred B. (Estright) Cowan. She attended Bellefonte High School until the 10th grade.
On April 18, 1946 in Plymouth, Annabelle married to Lawrence W. Peregrine. She was both a homemaker and worked for United Technology for 29 years, retiring in 1987. Annabelle was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She got to spend her last 5 years making a new home at St. Paul’s Retirement Community and enjoyed making new friends.
Annabelle is survived by her two sons, Larry Dale Peregrine of Mishawaka and Terry L. (Debra) Peregrine of Plymouth; three grandsons: TJ Peregrine, William Markovich and Christian Peregrine; 4 granddaughters: Terry Ann Tomasi , Lisa Brzozowski, Heather Fleenor and MacKenzie Adamek; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine (Don) Rockey of St. College, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence, sister, Jane Runkle, daughter-in-law, Jayme-Ayne Peregrine, and brothers, Richard Cowan and Gary Spain.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Sanctuary at St. Paul’s, 3602 South Ironwood Dr., South Bend, Indiana from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 2:30 p.m., with Chaplain Carol McCollester officiating.
Visitation will also be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN. Funeral services will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Oakhill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sanctuary at St. Paul’s, 3602 South Ironwood Dr., South Bend, IN 46614.
