Averi Antich, 9, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Born on February 4, 2013 in South Bend, Indiana she was the daughter of Jason and Angela Antich.
A magical child from birth that brought so much joy to the hearts that encountered her presence. Her beautiful strength was nothing short but amazing. Although she went through so many procedures throughout her life, Averi was a fighter. The nurses and the doctors she would leave in such awe amazement how she would fight through the toughest battles.
She enjoyed playing jokes with the nurses and her parents as they would often tell stories of her pretending to be asleep when they would go and check in on her at the hospital or at home, but then they would turnaround and catch her with her one eye open.
Averi loved horses, especially going to Magical Meadows in Warsaw. She loved the movie Frozen and watching Peppa Pig. She wasn’t one for those who liked anyone blocking her view of whatever she was watching, and she may slightly push your head out of the way. She also enjoyed listening to music. Averi attended Menominee Elementary school in Plymouth and loved being around her classmates.
All that knew Averi, loved her. She will leave a hole in all that knew her.
Averi is survived by her parents Jason and Angela Antich of Plymouth; sisters: Courtney (Tim) Fonseca of South Bend; Krysta Zentz of South Bend; grandparents: Lindy (Ron) Snyder of Plymouth; Jerry Shafer of Plymouth; aunts: Robin (Mike) Klaker of Avon, IN; Rhonda Antich of Plymouth; several cousins and a “honorary grandma,” nurse Shelly McKee.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother Rachel Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 5-7 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. A prayer service will follow the visitation with Life Celebrant James Smart officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to The Magical Meadows, 3386 E 525 N. Warsaw, IN 46582 or online at https://www.themagicalmeadows.org/donate.
