Barbara R. Wasio

March 10, 1942 - November 10, 2022

Barbara Ruth Wasio, 80, passed away with her loving family near her side Thursday evening, November 10, 2022 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Barbara was born in South Bend on March 10, 1942. She graduated from Riley high school in south bend with the class of 1960.

She worked at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in south bend. She was an avid baker with a green thumb, and lover of all animals but especially her fur children: Sammy, Snowy, Spotty, Jessie, and Sunshine. She had a wonderful marriage to Don Wasio of Plymouth for 26 years.

Barbara is survived by her children: Rebecca S. Palmer of Plymouth, Walter D. Jacobs of Plymouth, and Rodney L. (Tina) Jacobs of Plymouth, children from her marriage with Walt Jacobs. She is also survived by her children: Jonathan (Chelle) Costello of Ft. Collins, CO; Richard (Sarah) Costello of Marion, IN; from her marriage Paul Costello. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Amanda, Jennifer, Cherrie, John, Joseph, Cheyenne, Andrew and Rachel.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 2:30 pm in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth with Pastor Scott Yoder officiating.

    Sincere condolences to all of you. I remember always looking forward to coming to visit you all when were childhood friends. And so glad my mom stayed in touch through all these years.
