Bea Anders

July 25, 1917 — November 28, 2011

Beatrice Anders, 94, died at her residence of natural causes at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2011. She was a Marshall County resident all of her life with the exception of wintering in Florida in the winter months for several years.

Bea, as she was affectionally known by her friends and family was born on July 25, 1917, in Bourbon, IN. She was the daughter of Charles H. and Della May Whittmore Amones.

She graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1936.

A year later, on her birthday, Bea and Marvin Glenn Anders were married in Inwood, Indiana.

A homemaker, she worked for 20 years, part time, for Ag-Way, retiring in 1979.

She loved to cook and crochet and using her artistic talents, collected shells and fashioned attractive picture frames from them.

A member of the Inwood United Methodist Church and the Women’s Society of the church, she also was a member of the Junior TC Home-Ec Club for several years.

Bea is survived by two daughters and two sons. Her daughters are Marva Jane Hill, Plymouth, and Donna M. Shook, Plymouth, Indiana. Her sons are Glenn A. (Linda) Anders and Jerry L. (Sandra) Anders, all of Plymouth.

She is survived by a brother, Robert H. Amones, Bixby, Oklahoma together with twelve grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two son-in – laws, Jess Hill and Jay Shook, a granddaughter, Cheryl Hill and five brothers and five sisters.

Friends are invited to meet with Bea’s family to share memories and condolences on Thursday, December 1, 2011, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services, a celebration of her life, will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2011, in the funeral home. The Rev. Gail Law of the Inwood United Methodist Church will officiate.

Interment will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
