Betty J. Sickmiller

December 6, 1927 - April 4, 2021

Betty J. Sickmiller, 93, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton.

Born on December 6, 1927 in Abingdon, Illinois she was the daughter of Leo and Helen (Woolen) Games. She attended High School, graduating with the class of 1945.

On her birthday in 1948 she married the love of her life Lowell Sickmiller in Abingdon, Illinois, he preceded her in death on March 25, 1983. For most of her life she was a homemaker. Betty loved eating desserts, playing card games and gardening. She loved spending time with her family often taking her grandchildren to the Lake of the Woods to go swimming. Betty was a devoted Christian and attended Plymouth Wesleyan Church when she was able.

She is survived by her brother Robert (Rose) Games of Osceola; daughter-in-law Kathy Sickmiller of Plymouth; grandchildren: Heather (Dave) Peter of Noblesville, IN; Jeremy (Jenny) Sickmiller of Plymouth; Adam (Amber) Sickmiller of South Bend; Holly (David) King of Plymouth; Nicole (Adrian) Hostetler of Plymouth; great-grandchildren Ella, Zak, Leo, Marcy, David, Tyler, Austin, Tyler and Bailey.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell, and her children: Gary, Dennis and Debra.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in the New Oak Hill Cemetery at 1 pm with Life Celebrant James Smart officiating.

PLEASE NOTE:  For your protection, the entire funeral home staff will wear masks.  It is mandated that family members and their guests do so as well.
