Betty Jean Dilts

July 7, 1931 - September 14, 2014

Betty Jean Dilts, 83, passed away Sunday afternoon September 14, 2014 at her residence after an illness.
Born in Knox, Indiana to Earnest and Charity (Freet) Ketcham she was one of seven siblings. In 1951 she married Ted Dilts Sr. and together they raised six children. They are Diana Harrel of Plymouth, Danny Dilts of Plymouth, and Donna Ricketts of Plymouth, Ted (Lorrie) Dilts of Plymouth, Cindy (Mark) Jensen of Hamlet, Susan (Jerry) McCarty of Plymouth and a sister Dorothy Johnson of Michigan. Betty was also blessed with 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Betty graduated from Knox High School. She loved to crochet and collect dolls. Betty enjoyed feeding and watching birds and attending yard sales. It was her greatest joy when she was able to spend time with her grandchildren. Betty was a member of House of the Lord Church in Plymouth and also liked watching Jimmy Swaggert on Christian television.
She worked for Wagoner’s Wire in Plymouth for 12 years.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Ted Dilts Sr., as well as, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be held in the Johnson – Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. Plymouth on Thursday, September 18th from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. EDT
Funeral services will follow starting at 2:00 p.m. EDT in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Eagle Creek Cemetery, Knox, IN
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
