April 3, 1942 - January 9, 2019

Beverly J. Szombathy, 76, passed away at 3:45am CST on January 9, 2019 at her home in Grovertown, IN.
Beverly was born on April 3, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois; she was the daughter of Jack B. and Nettie Mae (Seaton) Martin.
She was raised in the south side of Chicago, where she graduated from the Chicago Vocational High School in 1959. After graduating from high school, she worked at the Continental Bank in downtown Chicago for over 9 years.
Beverly met her husband, Daniel Szombathy, at the Emerald Avenue Church of the Nazarene in Chicago, Illinois, where they would marry on July 1, 1967. She was an active member in both the Emerald Avenue Church of the Nazarene and the Plymouth Wesleyan Church. Some of her activities included: teaching Sunday school, leading children’s Christmas programs, singing in the choir. She was also elected Sunday School Superintendent. Beverly loved music, and she passed this love to all her children. Beverly was an encourager, and she truly loved Jesus with all her heart. She leaves a legacy of Jesus’ love to her three children and their spouses: Victoria and Donald Hill, Kathleen and David Bacon, and Daniel and Janice Szombathy. She has eight grandchildren: Andrew Hill, David Bacon, Abigail Szombathy, Elizabeth Bacon, Sarah Hill, Daniel Bacon, Daniel Szombathy, and Stephen Szombathy.
