Billie L. Lotz

October 26, 1926 — January 28, 2024

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Billie Louise Lotz, 97, was born October 26, 1926, to the late William Ernest McCart and Lila Blakemore McCart in Brea, California.  Billie passed away January 28, 2024 at the Pilgrim Manor. Billie went to be with the Lord while her loving daughter, Carolyn, had found her the best care in her final days and was with her in her final hours.

She married the love of her life shortly after his return from World War II where he proudly served our country.  Billie was united in marriage to Robert E. Lotz on July 11, 1947.  They were married in Clay County, Arkansas.

Their marriage of 73 years was a beautiful and lasting union that produced three children Carolyn Avon (Lotz) Hampson, Dennis Russell Lotz, and Stacy Eugene Lotz.  Billie is also survived by Son-in-Law, Jim Hampson, and Daughter-in-Law, Anne Delano Lotz; by 4 grandchildren, Jim Hampson, Holly (Hampson) Faw, Stacee (Hampson) Longnecker, Lorianne Delano Lotz, and two great grandchildren, Easton Faw,

and Elliott Longnecker.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents Lila and William McCart, her Guardian Russell McCart, and her husband Robert (Bob).

Billie lived in Brea, California until her early teens.  Both her parents passed while she was young and Billie was raised by her Uncle Russell McCart.  They moved to Licking, Missouri in 1939 where she was a cheerleader and an Honor Student at Licking High School.

Billie loved watching wildlife all her life.  She absolutely loved feeding her Cardinals, Doves, and Hummingbirds.  She was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas City Royals, the St.Louis Cardinals, and the St. Louis Blues and rooted for her teams up to her last hours.

Billie took her three young children in 1957 and flew to meet her husband Robert in Anchorage, Alaska. They lived 3 years in Alaska when it was our last Frontier and when it became the 49th State. Billie and Robert and their three children returned to Licking in 1959 after driving 4,000 miles through the wilderness of the AlCan highway to Montana and had wonderful and exciting stories about their adventure.

She worked at Bartlett’s Book Store for over 20 years until they closed and finished her working career at Belltone Hearing Aids where she was a model employee at both businesses.

Billie was very well known for her generous heart and her loving nature and will be greatly

missed by her family and friends.

Graveside services will be held February 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Boone Creek Cemetery,
