Brenda Sue Sherer, 62, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital of Ft. Wayne.

Brenda was born in Plymouth, Indiana on May 19, 1954 to Conrad T. Bradley and Wilda J. (Hibnar) Cruse. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School.

On October 13, 1973 in Plymouth, Brenda became the bride of Steve E. Sherer.

In her younger years, Brenda was a cook at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse and Lakeland Nursing Home in Milford. She later went on to work as a hospitality clerk at the Brook Pointe Inn in Syracuse, Indiana until her retirement on her 62nd birthday.

Brenda had a fun, loving personality and she never knew a stranger. She was always there for anyone in their time of need with her uplifting spirit.

The outdoors were her life. She enjoyed camping with her daughters and best friends, canoeing, kayaking and being out on the boat with Steve fishing. She loved being in the sun and gardening. Brenda cherished watching and being with her grandkids, and taking road trips with her family and siblings.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Steve of Milford, and her three daughters: Melissa (Ryan) Coverstone of Syracuse, Candice (Tony) Criswell of Syracuse and Shanda (Brent) Ruemler of Goshen; her adored grandchildren: Jackson Coverstone, Cooper Criswell and Hannah Ruemler, and step-grandchildren: Abbigale, Collin and Ethan Ruemler; sister, Rebecca (Tom) Lovern of Maryland and half-sister, Kathy (Jeff) Guy of South Bend.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Michael T. and Patrick Bradley, and mother-in-law, Corinne Sherer.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Funeral services will immediately follow in the funeral home at 3 p.m. with Rev. Charles Krieg officiating.

Family burial will take place at a later time.
