Caroline Sue Pike, 81, passed away peacefully at Memorial Hospital in South Bend on Monday, April 28, 2025. Born in Plymouth on June 19, 1943, Caroline was the daughter of Theodore and Esther VanBlaricom.
A proud graduate of LaPaz High School in 1962, Caroline dedicated her life to being a homemaker and found her greatest joy in the company of her family. On April 6, 1991, she married Gerald Pike in Bremen, and together they created a beautiful life filled with cherished memories. They enjoyed exploring their favorite destinations including Florida, Arizona, and Missouri while camping full-time from 1998 until 2001. Caroline was preceded in death by Gerald on October 29, 2012.
Caroline was raised in the Assembly of God Church, where she developed a deep understanding of her faith and loved to sing in praise. In her free time, she engaged in various crafts and sewing projects, took pride in her garden, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of pinecone hunting. Her love for shopping and visiting garage sales brought her joy.
The holidays held special significance for Caroline and her family; she was known for her thoughtful gifts, including handmade presents and her delightfully decorated blue Christmas tree. Her strong-willed and spirited personality left a lasting impression on those who knew her. Caroline will be deeply missed and remembered for her vibrant spirit.
Caroline will be missed by her children, Cheryl (David) Jones, Cara (Ron) Bunton, Tracy Harast, and Tonia (Tim) Tillotson; grandchildren, Dustin, Coty (Ashley), Abigail (Ellis) Gary, Ronnie (Becca), Kayla (Matt), Charity, Bobby, Brandon (Becca), Byron (Chloe), Trish, Tayah, and Trevor; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren on the way; sister, Donna Shively; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her companion in life, Vincent Jeffrey.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Esther; husband, Gerald; grandson, Timmy; siblings, Raymond, Eldora, Nancy, David and Bonnie; and son-in-law, Chris Harast.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 12-1PM at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 1PM with Life Celebrant James Smart officiating.
Caroline will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth.
