Carolyn G. Mallardi, 72, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
Born on June 14, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri she was fostered by parents Charles and Hazel Kratzchmar.
Carolyn attended Marshall-Starke Development Center. She enjoyed taking Benjamin to the dog park, watching scary movies, shopping for Christmas decorations, going to the casino and people watching, hosting parties and collecting her porcelain dolls.
She is survived by her foster nephew Robert (Judith) Mercer of Walkerton; foster niece Deborah (Jerry) Lawry of Decatur, Alabama; caretakers Misty Doerscher, Pamela Landesman, and Sara Yakimicki.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her foster parents, husband Joseph Mallardi, foster brother John Kratzchmar and foster sister Lorraine Mercer.
Per Carolyn’s wishes, there will be a celebration of life at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.
