Cecil R. Wilson

Cecil R. Wilson, 72, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born on August 23, 1954, in South Bend, Indiana, to Joe and Virginia (Hodgson) Wilson. Cecil graduated from LaVille High School with the Class of 1973. On April 14, 1973, he married his high school sweetheart, Pam Stockman. Together, they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage.

Cecil was the proud owner and operator of Lincolnway Auto Body for 44 years, serving his community with pride, compassion, and dedication. Those who knew Cecil were immediately drawn to his easygoing demeanor and genuine willingness to take time with each customer. He was truly gifted when it came to restoring and repairing vehicles of all makes and models.

Cecil had a lifelong love of cars. He especially enjoyed attending car auctions and collecting classic cars. His passion and talent for automobiles were a special part of who he was. A avid member of the National Corvette Restores Society.

A tremendous hard worker and devoted provider, Cecil took great pride in caring for his family. More than anything, his family remembers him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who adored his wife, children, and grandchildren with all his heart.

Cecil is survived by his loving wife, Pam, of Plymouth; his children, Jamie (Elena) Wilson and Nikki (Chad) Hundt, both of Plymouth; grandchildren, Cody, Mikayla, Cydnie, Kayden, Trevor, and Keki; great-grandchildren, Rosalie and Baylor; siblings, Barbara (Bob) Gregory of Plymouth and Timothy (Paula) Wilson; along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Virginia Wilson, and his brother, James Wilson.

Cecil will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, hardworking spirit, love for his family, and passion for automobiles will remain a lasting part of the many lives he touched.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 1-5:30 pm at the Plymouth Wesleyan Church, 11203 Michigan Road, Plymouth, IN 46563.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 11:00 am at the church with Pastor Taylor Hulse officiating.

Burial will take place in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
