Chad D. Fletcher

October 18, 1982 — June 26, 2025

Elkhart

Chad D. Fletcher, 42, was ushered into the arms of his Savior on June 26, 2025. He was born on October 18, 1982, in Knox, Indiana to Chris Miller and Duane Fletcher.

Chad worked for  Conn-Selmer in Elkhart, making instruments. Making beautiful music was his passion as he was talented at writing and playing the guitar and leading worship on Sundays at Heartland Church. Chad’s son, Zeke, was his other passion, as he lived for him, never missing a football or basketball game that Zeke was involved in or just hanging out and playing video games together.

Chad was always positive; he would make you laugh with his sense of humor, and courageous as he never gave up on anything. He had a heart for people, and whether through music, friendship, or quiet acts of kindness, Chad made those around him feel seen and valued. His faith was not just something he practiced on Sundays—it was the anchor of his soul and the light that guided his steps.

One of the most treasured relationships in Chad’s life was the one he shared with his mother, who was not only his biggest supporter but truly his best friend. He lovingly referred to himself as “the Apple” and called his mom “the Tree”—a testament to the deep roots of love, faith, and strength they shared.

He is survived by his parents, Chris & Gerald Miller of Plymouth; son Zeke Fletcher of Elkhart; sister Tonya (Trent) Thomas of Plymouth; brother Dylan (Laura) Miller of Argos; half-brothers Gavin and Levi Fletcher; grandmother Fran Bailey of Plymouth; grandfather Ray Miller of Goshen; nieces and nephews Tasha & Tyler Thomas, Zelda, Azaela, Vera & Charlie Miller; girlfriend Shebrell Yvonne Guider of Elkhart.

Chad is preceded in death by his daughter Clairabelle Fletcher; grandparents: Randy Bailey, Harold Manns, Irma Miller and Arpha and Earl Fletcher, and nephew Trey Thomas.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 11–1 p.m. at Heartland Church, 705 East Jefferson Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Jim Howard, Pastor Heath Hiatt, and Dr. Marc Royer officiating.

Burial will take place in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

Though his time here was far too short, Chad’s life was full of meaning, music, love, and faith. He leaves behind a legacy of joy, resilience, and worship that will echo in the hearts of all who knew him. His laughter, his music, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved will never be forgotten.
