Christina Carolyn Kovacs

March 16, 1928 - March 19, 2010

Christina Carolyn Kovacs of E. Williams Street, Argos, died in Pilgrim Manor, Plymouth, at 7:40 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010, three days after her 82nd birthday.
She was born in Culver in 1928, the daughter of Francis Victor and Elizabeth Carmen Dixon Kovacs.
She was a Marshall County resident all of her life, graduating from Culver High School.
An expert housekeeper, she worked for the Holiday Inn in Plymouth for over 25 years.
Christina is survived by two daughters and a son. They are Rose Hattery, Argos, Katherine (Leonard) Hess, Plymouth, and Terry (Beverly) Kovacs, also of Plymouth.
A sister, Sue (Glenn) Swift of Marcellus, MI and a brother, Matt (Rosemary) Kovacs of North Judson, together with grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive as well.
Nine grandchildren survive. They are: Rich (Shelly) Kovacs, Troy (Heather) Hess, Amber (Jade) Buchanan, Jason Hattery, James (Gail) Hattery, Buffy (Shawn) Speirs, Donny (Haley) Hattery, Andy (Casey) Kovacs and Terry Kovacs.
Her great-grandchildren are: Levi, Cassidy, Tyler, Dylan, Brandon, Courtney, Joey, Samantha, Eric, Damon, Guner, Cody, Haley, Sadie, Dylan, Zaley, Quincy and Jezzy.
Christina’s parents preceded her in death together with four brothers and a sister. They are: Robert, Carl, Don and Francis Kovacs and Ruth Ann Vermillion.
Friends and family will be welcomed to celebrate Christina’s life on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will follow visitation at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Todd Kauffman pastor of the Liberty Baptist Church, Rochester will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Burr Oak Cemetery.
Memorial gifts in Christina’s name may be given to her family.
