David “Dave” Thompson

David “Dave” Thompson, 57, of Tomahawk Trail, Plymouth, died as a result of an accident in Louisville, Kentucky, at 5:42 p.m., on Tuesday, March 18, 2008.

Born in Plymouth on December 2, 1950, Dave was the son of Melvin E. and Faith Joanne Volrath Thompson.

He was a 1969 graduate of LaVille High School.

On June 14, 1996, in Plymouth, Dave and Rachel Antich were married.

Dave was a professional truck driver for 36 years, most recently with the Miller Truck line out of Stroud, Oklahoma.

He enjoyed his dog, Lizzy, watching T.V. and being with his grandchildren. An adept mechanic, he liked to work on vehicles.

Dave is survived by his wife Rachel and by their three daughters and two sons.

His daughters are: Faith and Tony Gamble, Plymouth: Robin and Mike Klaker, Illinois, and Rhonda Antich, Argos. His sons are David and Brandi Thompson, Arizona, and Jason Antich, Argos.

Eight grandchildren also survive. They are: Alexis, Shanda, Cody, Johnna, Parker, Samantha, Sabrina and Jayden.

A sister, Patricia Kline, Plymouth, and a brother, Ronald and Melodie Thompson, Rochester, survive as well.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis Thompson.

The family will welcome friends to share memories on Monday, March 24, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m., and after 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services for Dave will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2008.

Burial will be in the Tyner Cemetery, Tyner, Indiana.

Memorial contributions in Dave’s name may be made to the Riley’s Children’s Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
