David R. Faber

October 19, 1954 - October 28, 2008
In Memorial

David R. Faber, 54, a resident of Indiana Ave., Plymouth, died at his home, following a brief illness, on Tuesday, October 28, 2008.
David was born in Plymouth on October 19, 1954, the son of John A. and Carol N. (Neidigh) Faber.
He was a 1974 graduate of Coral Gables High School, Coral Gables, Florida.
David, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, having served his country in the United States Army in the DMZ as a Spec. 5 Joint Security courier messenger under the direction of the CIA.
He loved sailing, fishing local lakes and catching Reds in the open ocean. He was a metal detecting enthusiast. He had biked across Europe and canoed throughout the state of Florida with the Sea Scouts.
David is survived by his parents and two brothers: Douglas Faber of Atlanta, GA., and Dan A. and his wife Dale Faber of Montgomery, ALA.
Three nieces, Kristen Faber and Carol Ann Faber both of Baltimore, MD., and Eliose Faber, a student at Auburn University in ALA., along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, survive as well.
David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carl E. and Ethel Neidigh and John P. and Florine Faber, paternal grandparents.
Friends are invited to share memories of David with his family on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, from 10:30 until noon.
Funeral services for David will follow visitation at noon in the funeral home. Rev. Dan A. Faber, David’s brother and the Minister of Missions at the Montgomery Trinity Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Kerry O’Brien, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate.
Members of the Plymouth American Legion Post 27 will provide military honors. Burial will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in David’s memory may be made to the Mission Fund of the Trinity United Methodist Church, 425 S. Michigan St., Plymouth, Ind. 46563
