Debra Sue Miller, 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth. Born in Bremen on November 10, 1954, Deb was the daughter of James and Irene (Becknell) Unsicker.
Deb graduated from Bremen High School and went on to attend Ivy Tech. After graduating, Deb worked at Donnite where she met William Miller. The pair were married on July 7, 1978 and created a lifetime of memories together.
She proudly worked as a Medical Assistant with Dr. Rogers in Bourbon and later at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth. Her true passion was with sewing. Deb was an incredible seamstress that found true joy in the task. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Deb created over 5000 masks that she sold at the Black Cat Consignment Store and gave away to those in need.
Always enjoying a good book, Deb’s favorite place to read was on her porch or on the beach in Florida. She was a homebody at heart and loved to spend time with her family. Deb also loved to shop for shoes and always had the biggest smile when showing off her favorite tie-dye pair.
Deb will be missed by her mother, Irene and her husband of 46 years, Bill; daughter, Melissa Miller; brothers, Mike (Jodi) Unsicker, Dennis (Holly) Unsicker, Max (Brenda) Unsicker, Gary Unsicker, and Jeff (Pebbles) Unsicker; along with any nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, James; grandparents; and nephews, Ryan, Matt, and Wesley Unsicker.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be directed to Traditions Hospice, 3555 Park Place W. #100, Mishawaka, IN 46545 and Pilgrim Manor, 222 Parkview Street, Plymouth, IN 46563.
