
Denise Leanne Yockey, 60 of Walkerton, IN, passed away at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, IN after an extended illness. She was born in Plymouth, IN, on June 15, 1961, to Nelson and Doris (Hibnar) Yockey. Denise was a graduate of Plymouth High School and later became a licensed practical nurse. She had a passion for her many pets. Denise was a life-long member of the First Community Church of God in Lapaz, IN and loved gospel music.
Denise is survived by her parents, and her brothers, Doug Yockey of Plymouth and Denton (Gina) Yockey of Alexandria, KY. She is also survived by a nephew Grayson Yockey and niece Gwyneth Yockey also of Alexandria, KY.
Memorial services will be conducted by Rev. Sam McClimans, of the First Community Church of God, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022. Visitation will be from 12:30 until the start of the service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at New Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Association, PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123-1718.
