
Dennis Hooker, 61, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at home.
Born on September 30, 1959 in Plymouth Indiana. He was son of Ken and Doris (Stayton) Hooker.
He attended Plymouth High School graduating with the class of 1978.
On June 11, 1983 he married Mary at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Plymouth. They met cruising the streets in downtown Plymouth. Dennis worked for the City of Plymouth for 32 years retiring in November of 2020.
Dennis never knew a stranger. He enjoyed fishing with his friend “Spanky,” going to rock concerts, even getting to see one of his favorites Alice Cooper with Mary. He loved his cats: Pee-Wee, X-Ray, G.C., Mamma and Gracie. He left a legacy to be remembered as always to lend a hand to help others.
He belonged to the Plymouth American Legion Post #27 and the Veterans of Foreign War Post 1162. Dennis was one of the best and most loving husbands and father that any wife could ever ask for.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Plymouth; mother Doris of Argos; daughters: Ann Hooker of Plymouth; Sarah Hooker of Plymouth; brother Sean Hooker of Argos; several nieces and nephews as well as many cousins.
Dennis is preceded in death by his father Ken, sister Shelly, grandparents: Silvia, Louise, Leo and Lester.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 5-7 at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan Street, Plymouth. A Memorial Service will follow with Life Celebrant James Smart officiating.
