Dolly A. Bonnell

November 6, 1922 - April 6, 2009
In Memorial

Dolly A. Bonnell, 86, 905 E. Berkley St., Plymouth, IN, formerly of Star City and Culver, IN, died of natural causes at her residence at 1:18 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2009. Born in Pulaski County, IN, the daughter of Clyde F. and Jane Ada Donaldson Nitzschke, on Nov. 6, 1922. Dolly attended Fairview School in Pulaski County.
On March 15, 1946, in Rochester, IN, Dolly and Gerald D. “Blondie” Bonnell were married. He preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2001.
A homemaker, she had worked as a glass cutter at Hehr International in Plymouth, retiring in 1984 after 11 years of service. She was a member of the ladies V.F.W. Auxillary.
Dolly is survived by a daughter and son and their spouses. They are: Patricia Ann and Gary Rogers, Rochester, IN, and Steven Paul and Linda Bonnell, Brandon, FL.
Five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive together with a daughter-in-law, Rita Bonnell of Logansport, IN, a sister, Martha Schmidt of Lake of the Hills, IL and a brother, Major Nitzschke of North Manchester, IN.
Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons: Dennis Jay and Gerald Lee Bonnell, a sister, Mary Marianski and three brothers: Howard, Gilbert and Virgil Nitzschke.
Family services will be held.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Ind.
Memorials in Dolly’s memory may be made to the American Lung Association.
