Donald P. Dickson, 72, passed away in his group home at 6:54 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
Don was born in Portland, Indiana on April 28, 1950, to Rev. Duane and Helen (Myers) Dickson.
Don enjoyed working in the parts department for CCI through Cardinal Services. He was a “Papa Bear” to many and gave the best back rubs.
He loved being outside, going out on the pontoon boat, and going to the zoo to listen to the animal sounds. He loved music but in particular: Johnny Cash, Billie Graham, the Oak Ridge Boys, and religious songs. Don could always make the people around him laugh and always was saying “missed you” and “Love you.” He could be found sipping a root beer and listening to the Molly B. Polka Show, doing puzzles and always had his Bible in his hands.
Don is dearly missed by his special friends, Amy and Lawrence Harner, and the caring staff at Dungarvin and Cardinal Services.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Candace Berndt and brother Gerald Dickson.
Inurnment will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery Columbarium in Plymouth at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022.

Don, it has been awhile since I have worked for Cardinal. But I never forgot you. You always put a smile on my face. I remember reading your Bible to you almost every night I worked. You got tears in your eyes more then once. And now you are in the arms of Jesus and healed, probably making everyone in heaven smile.
