Donna F. Lamb, 89, passed away peacefully at 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Plymouth.

Living in the Plymouth area all her life, Donna was born in Plymouth on January 19, 1928, the daughter of James Henry and Florence I. (Day) Hartman.

Donna graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1946.

On September 7, 1947, Donna and H. James Lamb were married in Plymouth. The couple enjoyed traveling to the McAllen, Texas area for 25 winters.

Donna and Jim farmed from 1950-1987, until they sold the operation. They were both members of the Farm Bureau. For many years Donna delivered eggs to residents of Plymouth.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women Group. She held several offices in both church and Sunday school. Donna is survived by her two daughters; Charlotte M. (Ron Sherrock) Morgan of Springfield, Ill., and Ruth (Jon) VanVactor of Plymouth. A daughter-in-law; Trudy (Brad) Forkner of Cherry, Illinois, as well as, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, parents, by a son, Dale A. Lamb in 1981, sister, Elaine Stoneburner.

Friends may visit with the family from 3 – 7 p.m. on Friday, January 26th at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, and for one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday, January 27th in the First United Methodist Church, 400 N. Michigan St., Plymouth with Rev. David Hogsett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines addition of New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
