Dorothy Imogene Woodward, 91, went home to the Lord on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Walkerton. Born on October 25, 1934 in Plymouth, Dorothy was the daughter of Ora and Leona (Eaton) Snyder.

Dorothy dedicated 35 years working at American Optical as a technician with the lensometer for prescription eyeglasses. When she wasn’t at work, Dorothy enjoyed going to thrift stores and garage sales; always looking for her next treasure. She looked forward to the challenge of various games including board and card games. She collected socks and had them sorted based on color. Dorothy’s collection of socks may surpass the current world record for the most number of pairs.

Faith and family were the cornerstone of Dorothy’s life. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and her love of Jesus Christ led them as a family through the years. She faithfully attended New Song Church since their 3rd church service. She made countless friends at the church who she loved going to bible study with and sharing a meal together afterwards. When her children were young, she taught Sunday school to elementary age girls. Later in life, she would help in the nursery on Sundays.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Karen (David) Webster, Kristie (Paul) Maure, and Kent (Victoria) Amor; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; along with her sister, Margie Ermis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Leona; son, Kerry Amor and 6 sisters.
