Dorothy Louise (Beyler) Morgan

May 13, 1933 — December 7, 2023

Dorothy Louise (Beyler), Ringer, Morgan passed away December 7, 2023, in Carmel, Indiana.

Dorothy was born May 13, 1933, in Plymouth, Indiana, the daughter of Cecil and Wilma Beyler. She was raised on a gladiola farm and was a 1951 graduate of Plymouth High School.

Dorothy was married to Rollo Glenn Ringer from 12/24/1952 until his untimely passing on 1/22/1972. She then married Daren Duane Morgan of Plymouth Indiana (4/20/1974) and, after calling the Plymouth community home for their entire lives, has most recently lived with him at Sunrise on Old Meridian in Carmel, Indiana for the past 3 years.

Dorothy and Rollo had four children, Dawn (1954), Timm (1955), Jayna (1956), and Jon (1957-2018). When Dorothy married Daren, Dorothy embraced Daren’s daughter, Kris (1953) into her life.

During her lifetime Dorothy was employed at Pilgrim Manor where she served as a Utilization Coordinator.  Subsequently, she moved her employment to St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend, Indiana where she worked in the Utilization Review department.

Dorothy was very involved at the First United Methodist Church of Plymouth, Indiana where she was a faithful member of the chancel choir as well as an Adult Sunday School Teacher and Bible Study leader for many years.

Dorothy had a love for oil painting, spending many hours in the study of light, composition, and nature.  Her greatest joy was capturing the “essense” of a person through portrait painting. Some of her greatest works, however, were captured in her paintings of gardens, flowers, and landscapes.  Dorothy was a member of the Heartland Artist Gallery in Plymouth Indiana and participated in displaying her oil paintings in several art shows.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Dawn (Lance) Bultena; son Timm (Diane) Ringer; daughter Jayna (Stephen) Beutler; daughter-in-law Tammy Ringer (Jon); step-daughter Kris (Kirk) White; 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her husband, Daren Morgan, sister Eileen Cook, sister-in-law Delores (Ray) Beyler, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rollo Ringer; her parents, Cecil and Wilma Beyler, brother Ray Beyler; sister Elna Defur, and her son, Jon Ringer.
