E. Faye Stone

March 4, 1931 - December 26, 2011

E. Faye Stone, 80, a former resident of Huntsville, AL, who has lived in Plymouth with her daughter for the last two years, passed away at 7:13 a.m. on Monday, December 26, 2011, in the Hospice House at Roseland, Indiana, following a sudden illness. The daughter of Lem B. and Lillie M. (Peoples) Seymour, Faye was born on March 4, 1931 in Huntsville.
Faye and Frank W. Stone, Jr. were married in Huntsville in 1946. Frank preceded her in death in 1998.
Faye, a sweet, gracious, lovable woman, loved people and never met a stranger or was at a loss for words. A member of the Baptist Faith, she kept active and busy with her flower gardens and plants, both in and out of her home. She was well suited for working in various service industries through the years.
She was devoted to her family of three children, Faye is survived by a daughter, Linda G. Baker-Houin and her spouse Jim F. Houin of Plymouth; a son, Larry W. Stone and his spouse Mary N. of Meridianville, AL and she was preceded in death by her son Randall C. Stone in 2001.
Grandchildren would include Linda’s children: Tammy King, Brian Baker, and great grandchildren; Leslie, Kaitlin, and great-great granddaughter; Kendall. Larry’s children: Keri Fountain and great-grandchildren; Nicholas and Zach. Randall’s children: Jamie Stone and Tracey McKeon, with great-grandchildren; Tara, Alyssa, Levi, and Jordyn.
A brother, James Seymour of Huntsville, AL and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Mae Belle Coldwater; and brothers: Norman, Acklin, A.V., and L.B. Seymour.
Friends are invited to visit with Faye’s family from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Spry Funeral Home, 2411 Memorial Parkway NW, Huntsville, AL.
Funeral services will be held at Spry Funeral Home, AL. on Saturday, December 31st at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. David Hutto of the First Baptist Church – Meridianville, officiating.
Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Huntsville, AL.
Memorial gifts in Faye’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle, Suite 900, Chicago, IL. 60604.
