Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Voreis

Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Voreis, age 93, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in Evergreen, Alabama. Elizabeth was born August 18, 1928, in Plymouth, Indiana.
Graveside memorial services and inurnment for both Mr. and Mrs. Roger Voreis will be on Saturday, July 23rd at 11 am in Culver, Indiana at the Culver Masonic Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Dr. Jeffrey Voreis (Donna) and Jennifer Voreis (Larry); granddaughter Sarah Voreis; brother Bob Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roger D. Voreis; grandson Patrick Voreis; and five brothers and a sister.
Betty loved music and played piano and organ at several churches for many years. She loved quilting, sewing, crafts and building puzzles. She sang in choirs her entire life including at Frazer UMC. She was also an avid sports fan.
Betty retired from Hook’s Drugs Culver, IN. She was a very active member of Frazer UMC. She volunteered at Trinity Presbyterian School in the library. She was a volunteer and a paid usher at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Elizabeth Voreis to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival or Frazer UMC.
