Ethel Marie Belt

February 9, 1926 - March 31, 2007
In Memorial

Ethel Marie Belt, 81, a Plymouth area resident for over 40 years, died in Pilgrim Manor Nursing home, Plymouth at 4:35 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2007.
The daughter of Anton and Agnes Habes Tarant, Ethel was born in Cicero, Illinois on February 9, 1926.
Ethel went to Secretarial School after graduating from High School.
On March 26, 1946, Ethel and Lloyd “Bud” Belt were married at the Union Church, LaPaz, Indiana. Bud preceded Ethel in death on July 8, 2003.
An avid bowler, Ethel was in a bowling league for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge and had been a 4-H Cake Decorating Leader for 25 years.
She had been a secretary for Sparkia Projects and Claeys Candy Inc. in South Bend.
Ethel is survived by a son: Ron and Anita Belt of Plymouth, IN and three daughters: Karen Azzaro and son-in-law Gregg Pennington of Martinez, GA; Nancy and son-in-law Randy Whaley of Powder Springs, GA and Sheryl Thayer of Carmel, IN., as well as eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Sunrise Chapel, 11802 Lincoln Hwy, Plymouth, where Ethel had attended. Rev. Rustin Krapfl. Pastor of Sunrise Chapel will officiate.
Graveside Services for Ethel will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, April 5th, at New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth. Memorial contributions in Ethel’s name may be made to the Sunrise Chapel, Building Fund.
