Etta Mae Clark

Etta Mae Clark, 61, a Plymouth resident for the past 36 years, died after a long bout with cancer, at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2004. Etta who made her home at 1051 Pennsylvania Ave., died in the Pilgrim Manor Care Facility.

Etta, who loved working in sales with all types of people, will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Born in Harrisburg, Ark., on September 13, 1942, she was the daughter of Miles and Cor Delia Williams Robb. She attended Arkansas schools and graduated from Ancilla College in 1982, with a business degree.

On April 20, 1974, in Plymouth, Etta married John H. Clark.

A licensed real estate agent, her career spaned over a 20-year period. She worked with Realty World, McCollough Real Estate Service and most recently, Masterson & Associates. She was a member of the North Central Indiana Board of Realtors and the Indiana and National Association of Realtors.

Etta enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, hunting and fishing and was proud of her trophy buck.

A member of the Plymouth Women of the Moose No. 1355, she also was a member with her spouse, of the Steel Workers Organization of Active Retirees, Plymouth chapter.

Etta is survived by her husband, John, and their three daughters: Ramona D. and Bruce Cook, Plymouth; Rebecca J. and Arturo Belmontes, Bourbon; and Renee A. Clark, Plymouth.

Three grandchildren also survive: Alicia Crisp, Aaron Cook and Tyler Cook.

Six sisters survive as well. They are: Dorothy Love, Polk City, Fla.; Patricia and Dale Kitts, Jone Miller and Elfreda Robb, all of Plymouth; Shirley Carpenter, Bremen; and Claudia and Johnny Mullins, Tippecanoe.

Two brothers also survive: Marshall Robb, Kentland, Ind. and Anthony Robb, Bunkerhill, Ind., together with numerous nieces and nephews.

Etta was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Melvin Robb.

Friends will be welcomed by the family at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, on Monday, May 24, 2004, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Women of the Moose will conduct a memorial ritual service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Etta’s funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2004, in the funeral home. The Rev. Roger Dixon will officiate.

Interment will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.

Friends are welcomed to join the family at a Condolence Dinner at the Moose Lodge, 1225 W. Jefferson St., Plymouth, following funeral services.
