Fannie S. Partain

September 12, 1934 - September 26, 2013

Fannie S. Partain, 79, of Plymouth passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 12:55 p.m. in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth. Fannie was born on a hill in Wynne, Arkansas on September 12, 1934 to John J. and Sarah Irene Evans Dobbins. She attended grade school in Arkansas.
She married Leeman Franklin Smith in 1952 in Arkansas. In her early years, she worked for Addison Shoe Factory in Arkansas. She then married Bobby Floyd Partain. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1974. Fannie and her daughter, Teresa Darlene, moved to Michigan City, Indiana in 2000, and then to Plymouth in 2009.
She loved to dance and go on outings with her daughter Darlene and their friends, Ken and Doris Smith. Her favorite color was purple, and she enjoyed hummingbirds, dogs and a good cherry Coke. Although Fannie loved Plymouth, she always had a heart for Arkansas.
Fannie is survived by her daughters: Teresa Darlene McConaghy of Plymouth and Terrie Lynn Partain of Kentucky, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her companion Richard Seedorf, and her former spouse, Bobby Partain.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013 in the New Oakhill Cemetery, with Pastor Lowell Ott , of New Song Church, officiating.
