Francis “Fran” Eugene Maze

Francis “Fran” Eugene Maze, 64 of Thayer Street, Plymouth passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth Campus of natural causes.

He was born September 30, 1943 in Plymouth, Indiana to Charles W. Maze and Ruby Scott. Fran graduated with the Plymouth High School class of 1961. Fran served three years in the United States Army. After an honorable discharge he worked for Sprint recently known as Embarq, where he retired in 2005 after 30 years of employment.

He is survived by his mother, Ruby E. Werner and Frederick L. Werner, his stepfather of Fruitland Park, Florida. One sister Mardene Reid of Summerfield, Florida. Four brothers, James L. Maze & (Arlene) of Ocala, Florida, Richard Maze & (Sue) of Plymouth, Indiana, Ronald E. Maze of Koontz Lake, Indiana.

Also surviving are two step-brothers Stephen Werner of Pittsburg, Penn., Jon & (Mary) Werner of Leesburg, Florida, and one step-sister Lora Lee Rike of Ocala, Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Two brothers preceded him in death Charles Monroe Maze, Gerald W. Maze and his father, Charles Maze Sr.

Friends will be welcomed by the family for a time of celebration and reflection on Wednesday July 2, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 7:00 a.m. on Thursday July 3, 2008 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Fran will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday July 3, 2008 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, with the Fr. Bill Kummer officiating.

Burial will take place in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
