Glea M. Shireman, 85, died of natural causes at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2008, in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Center, Plymouth.
She was born on October 8, 1923 in Moreland, IN to Rev. Ernest and Rev. Mildred Cortner Treber.
Glea had been an area resident most of her life. She had worked in the order department of Orthopedic Equipment Co., in Bourbon, IN for many years.
In June of 1985, Glea and John R. Shireman were married in Plymouth. John preceded her in death on August 30, 2005.
Glea is survived by three step-sons: Reg and Dorothy Shireman of Monticello, IN, Larry Shireman of Washington, D.C. and Michael Shireman of Plymouth, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, M. Ernestine Becker and three brothers: James, Edward and Robert Treber.
Graveside services, officiated by the Rev. Charles Krieg, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in Glea’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army.
