Glen M. Brown Jr.

October 7, 1946 - September 15, 2002

Glen M. Brown, Jr., 55, 1112 Ferndale Ave., Plymouth, died at 12:30 a.m., following an illness, on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, in Hospice House, South Bend, Ind. Glen had moved to Plymouth from Rensselaer in 1970. He was born in Rensselaer on Oct. 7, 1946, the son of Glen M. and Ruby E. Hilton Brown. He graduated from Rensselaer High School in 1964, and was married to Beverly Peregrine on March 27, 1966, in Rensselaer. He worked for 27 years for Sears as a heating and refrigeration technician, retiring in 1997. An avid outdoorsman, Glen loved to travel. He enjoyed all kinds of music. Naturally, he was a handyman. Of all of his activities, he loved most being with his daughters and granddaughters. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Rensselaer. Glen is survived by his wife, Beverly, of Plymouth, and by their two daughters and their husbands and children. They are Michelle and Dan Burgess, Granger, Ind., and Tracy J. and Mike Holloway and their daughters, Lindsey and Layne Holloway, all of Plymouth. His mother, Ruby E. Brown of Rensselaer and two sisters, Marlene and Ronald Lashbrook, West Lafayette, Ind., and Linda and Jim Collins of Los Angeles, Calif., also survive. Glen was preceded in death by his father, Glen M. Brown, Sr., in 1983. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, in the Plymouth Wesleyan Church, 11203 S. Michigan St., Plymouth. The Rev. Bob Vardaman, a retired pastor of the church, will officiate. Memorial gifts may be made in Glen’s memory to the Marshall County Hospice.
