Glenda S. Wraight, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Wampler Senior Home, Bourbon.
She was born on August 11, 1943, in South Chicago, Illinois, to Glenn R. and Cathrine (Todd) Starner. She graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1961. Glenda attended Ancilla College and graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with a degree in Nursing. She cared for numerous patients before retiring in 2013.
Glenda had a zest for life, a perpetual smile, and an infectious laugh that many admired. She traveled extensively, enjoyed sailing, had numerous pets over the years, and loved every one of them. Most importantly, she thoroughly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Plymouth.
She is survived by her husband John R. Wraight of Plymouth; sister Sharon Starner-Miley of South Bend; children: Ted Hollett of Argos; Pam Hollett of Sunnyville, TX; Thomas (Colleen) Hollett of Forney, TX; Brian (Nancy) Wraight of Poinciana, FL; Mary (Ron) Wraight of Plymouth; Michael (Catherine) Wraight of Plymouth; grandchildren: Robert Howard, Caleb Hollett, Courtney Hollett, Ethan (Andrea) Hollett, Erin Hollett, Blair (Bennett) Broussard, Preston (Abbie) Claypoole, Alyssa (Chong) Hollett, Alex Grady, Chloe Hollett, Shalea Bryant, Joshua (Bobbie) Wraight, Ashley (Nick) Mesick, Alexis (Joe) Geiger, Amanda Pynaert, Arik (Amanda) Pynaert, Jenifer Justice, Jacob (Natacia) Justice, Tegan (Noah) Creamer, John (Tessa) Wraight III, Connor Wraight, Wyatt Wraight, Emmett Wraight, Harriet Wraight, Landrie Mattern; 31-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Deborah Lynn Hollett, grandson Jacob Hollett, stepson John Wraight Jr. and her first husband Jeff Hollett.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9:00-11:00 am at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 400 N. Center Street, Plymouth, IN, 46563. Funeral services will immediately follow with Rev. Bernadette Hartsough officiating.
Burial will take place in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
