Gloria M. Osorio, 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at home, surrounded by the love and presence of her cherished family.
Born on May 9, 1942, in Quito, Ecuador, to Miguel and Erlinda Cevallos, Gloria’s life was a beautiful testament to strength, joy, and unconditional love. Her heart knew no bounds, and her family was the center of her world.
Gloria dedicated many years to working as a Teacher’s Aide, lovingly supporting children with autism. Her compassion and patience touched countless lives, and her determination was one of her most defining traits. She loved her family fiercely and selflessly, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them.
Creative and full of life, Gloria found joy in sewing—especially making Halloween costumes for her grandchildren—and her home was often filled with music, laughter, and love. She delighted in singing, dancing, and playing the ukulele, especially during church services, where her joyful spirit shone brightly.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of her children: Marcelo (Beth) Osorio of Plymouth; Diego (Carmen) Osorio of Virginia; Rosi “Helena” (Ron) Arens of Florida; and Jorge (Alina) Osorio of Toronto, Canada. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Francisco Osorio, Magdalena (Marcelo) Herrera, Gabriela (Vinny) Coccia, Alejandro Osorio, Sebastian Osorio, Becky Arens, Stephanie Arens, Jessica (Henry) Arens, and Cristina (Francis) Osorio. Gloria was also blessed with two great-granddaughters, Alicia Herrera and Aria Herrera. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother Oswaldo Cevallos.
Gloria now reunites in eternal peace with her parents and beloved sisters, Lola Calle and Mary Vasconez.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Fr. Fernando Jimenez.
