Heather L. Baumgartner

January 29, 1998 — July 21, 2018

Heather L. Baumgartner, 20, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, July 21, 2018 in the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center – Plymouth campus.

She was the eldest of three children and was born in Plymouth on January 29, 1998, the daughter of Cliff and Kelly Baumgartner. Growing up in Marshall County, she was involved in 4H Crafts and the Plymouth Sharks. Heather loved her time at Culver Academies and was a proud 2016 CGA graduate. There she was full of spunk and generally active in something like jazz bands, tennis, crew and of course, swimming. She also served on the CGA Honor Council.

She had just completed her second year as a business student at Lake Forest College in Illinois. There she was an active member of Tri-Delta Sorority.

Heather loved the world of designer fashion and readily could identify them all.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her parents, Cliff and Kelly Baumgartner, brother, Forrest C. Baumgartner, sister, Autumn R. Baumgartner, all of Argos. Her maternal grandmother is Caroline W. Hanley of Plymouth and paternal grandparents are Lewis and Janice Baumgartner of Fulton, Missouri. Her pet Chihuahua Cleo also survives.

Heather was extremely close to her maternal grandpa Patrick M. Hanley who passed away last October.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25th from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 26th at 11 a.m. under the direction of Dr. Samuel Boys.

Preferred are memorial gifts to the Plymouth Aquatics Club, P.O. Box 47, Plymouth, IN 46563 or to benefit student scholarships at Culver Academies, memorials may be sent to Culver Educational Foundation, 1300 Academy Road, #153, Culver, IN 46511.
