Helen J. Pranger Potthoff

Helen J. Pranger Potthoff, 41, 215 Water Street, died, following a lengthy illness, at 4:24 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2000.  A Plymouth resident most of her life except for 7 years in the Tampa, Florida area, Helen died in St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

 Born in Plymouth on September 26, 1959, she was the daughter of Paul J. Sr., and Mae E. Warner Pranger.  She attended Plymouth High School.

On March 27, 1980, in Tampa, Florida, Helen and William F. Potthoff were married.

Helen had a beloved dog, a terrier she named “Railroad,” because he was found as a puppy on a railroad track.  She loved caring for him.

She is survived by her husband, William, her father, Paul Pranger Sr., both of Plymouth, and four sisters and two brothers.  Her sisters are: Mary L. and Dennis H. Casey and Diana M. Pranger, all of Plymouth, Sue A. and Robert C. White Jr., Brooksville, Florida, and  Sarah J. Coffin, Bourbon.  Her brothers are: Paul J. Pranger, Jr., Knox, and  Marshall L. Pranger, Culver.

Fourteen nieces and nephews and fifteen great-nieces and nephews also survive.

Helen was preceded in death by her mother, Mae, and Glenn A. Pranger, a brother.

Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, October 29, 2000, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2000, in the funeral home.  The Rev. Tom Padberg, Hospice chaplain, and the Rev. Charles Krieg, pastor of the Pretty Lake Trinity United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
