Henry W. Risberg

Henry W. Risberg, 91, a Plymouth resident since 1979, coming from Chicago, died of natural causes at 1:25 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2000, in the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, 222 Parkview Drive, Plymouth

 Henry was born on June 15, 1908, in Chicago, Ill.  He was the son of Peter and Olga Nordstrom Risberg.  He attended Chicago schools.

 On May 23, 1936, in Chicago, Henry and Olive Carr were married.

He was employed first by Dreis & Krump in machine repair but worked the majority of his life for the Ford Motor Company.

 An active man, he enjoyed traveling by car or by train.  He liked to fish and took pleasure from watching TV and playing cards.

Henry is survived by his Olive, his spouse of 63 years and by a sister, Carrie Hajek, Evansville, Ind.  Two nephews, Jack and Ralph Hajek, also of Evansville, survive as well.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers:  Walter, John and Raymond Risberg.

Friends may visit with his family on Saturday, February 19, 2000, from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, Indiana.

Henry’s funeral will be on Sunday, February 20, 2000, at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Charles Kreig, pastor of the Pretty Lake Trinity United Methodist Church, will officiate.

 Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Chicago, Ill.

 Memorial gifts in Henry’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
