Hope Krystyne “Sissy” Sanders, 13, went home into the arms of her Savior at 4:31 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2004. Surrounded by her loving family and their continued care, Sissy died due to complications of cerebral palsy, a condition she has had since her birth. She has resided at 7990 Jarrah Road, Plymouth her entire life.
Born in Mishawaka on September 7, 1990, Sissy was the daughter of Russell Lee “Rusty” and Sonia L. “Renea” Weldy Sanders.
She attended Lincoln Junior High School.
Sissy liked Sponge Bob TV shows and country music. She enjoyed being pushed in her wheelchair and she always had a smile for everyone. She took great joy in being with her family, especially her beloved Grandpa Weldy and her Grandma Sanders. She was a member of the House of the Lord, Plymouth.
Sissy, always loved and always remembered, is survived by her mother and father and two brothers: Rusty Jr., 9th grade and Josh Sanders, a 3rd grader.
Her maternal grandfather, Clifford D. Weldy, Nappanee, and paternal grandmother, Bertha M. Sanders, Hillsburg, Ind., together with several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by Frances O. Weldy, her maternal grandmother and Ray W. Sanders, her paternal grandfather. Charity M. Weldy, an aunt and cousins Brent and Zachary Thompson have also died.
The family will welcome visitors on Monday, May 31, 2004, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
