
Iris R. Snyder, 85, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth.
Born in Tyner, Indiana on November 23, 1935, Iris was the daughter of Arthur and Ruth (Rust) Stoneburner. She graduated from Tyner High School.
On June 6, 1954, in Tyner, Iris became the bride of Guilford W. Snyder.
Iris worked for Dr. James Kubley and Dr. Robertson from 1977 – 1989. She would work various restaurant positions through the years as well.
She was a member of the Tyner Rebekah Lodge #865, Marshall Starke Development Center Auxiliary, and the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. Iris volunteered at the hospital for many years after her retirement. She was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Plymouth for over 42 years, and a former member of Tyner United Methodist Church.
Iris is survived by her loving husband, Gil, and children: Kathy Snyder of Plymouth, Susan (John) Kelley of Connersville, IN, and Keith (Amy) Snyder of Allen, TX; grandchildren: Cameron Snyder, Benjamin Snyder and Sarah Kelley; and her sister, Carol Carlberg of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bryan; and siblings: Raymond, Earl, Cecil Stoneburner and Merrill Barr.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kayla Grehl officiating. The Tyner Rebekah Lodge will perform a Rite following the service. Visitation will resume one hour prior.
