Irvin W. Myers

Irvin W. Myers, 88, passed away at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home in Plymouth.
Irvin was born in Danville, Illinois on July 8, 1928 to William Glenn and Hazel (Sadler) Myers. He graduated from Oakwood High School in Oakwood, Illinois.
On November 26, 1953 in Bloomington, Illinois, Irvin married the former Carol J. Zilles.
Irvin served for his country in the U.S. Air Force until his Honorable Discharge. From 1950-1954, he worked for EmTran Genetics in Pennsylvania. Most recently his interest and passion was working with registered dairy cattle, which he did his whole life time.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol of Plymouth and his daughter, Kim Myers and her husband Steven Christman of New Paris, Indiana. His sister, Laura Mae Lomax of Christman, Illinois also survives, and sister-in-law’s, Patricia Myers and Jacqueline Barth.
Irvin was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Myers.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Irvin’s life on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Bremen Missionary Church, 2958 Elm Road, Bremen, IN 46506.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Raptor Resource Project, P.O. Box 16, Decorah, IA 52101.
