Janice Lee

Janice Lee, 84, died at home on Monday February 1, 2010 at 8:50 a.m.

Janice was born on August 15, 1925 in Mishawaka. She was the daughter of Earl and Lorena Ethel Shafer Lee. She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan with a Bachelor of Science Degree in June of 1961. Janice taught 12 years in Portage and 4years in Culver, 16 years all together.

Janice has been involved over the years at Plymouth Wesleyan Church in Children’s Church, Youth President, Vacation Bible School Teacher. She was the Missionary Society’s President, Vice President. & Treasurer at one time and Assistant Teacher of Berean Class. Janice was the assistant Dean for women at Indiana Wesleyan, was Treasurer for the Missionary Project Committee, Secretary of International Relations Club, President of Foreign Missions Fellowship and involved with the Student Education Association.

Janice is survived by two sisters June (Clifford) Martin of Elkhart, and Lorena Snyder of Plymouth Ten nieces and nephews along with several great nieces and nephews survive as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a 3month old baby brother Charles Raymond Lee, along with two sisters Laura Robinson and Helen Bunch and a brother-in-law Roy Snyder.

Friends are invited to share memories with Janice’s family on Thursday February 4, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.

Services officiated by Rev. John Branch, pastor of the Plymouth Wesleyan Church where Janice was a member will be held immediately following visitation at noon in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, Janice has requested that memorial contributions given in her name be directed to the Plymouth Wesleyan Church Missionaries 11203 S. Michigan Street Plymouth, IN 46563.

Burial will follow in the Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
