Jean Michalski

March 11, 1925 - February 4, 2022

Jean Michalski, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022 at We Belong Senior Home, Plymouth.

Born on March 11, 1925 in Bringhurst, Indiana she was the daughter of Roy and Julia (Sorter) Luse. She attended Plymouth High School graduating with the class of 1943. Through a mutual friend she met this wonderful man and on August 26, 1966 she married Robert Michalski in Plymouth. He precedes her in death.

Jean worked for Wagoner Wire, and as a production worker for DelMonte for 12 years before she retired. Wanting to keep busy, she would go to work for the Plymouth Motel and worked in housekeeping.

Jean was known as a “strong willed” person that was not afraid to voice her opinion. However, at the same time a wonderful mother to her children and a fantastic wife to her husband. It did not matter how busy she would get; Jean would always make time for her family. She left a legacy of a strong work ethic instilled in her children to emulate.

She loved to go old Rock and Roll and country line dancing at the Moose Lodge. Jean had an immaculate eye for decorating her house, one to be admired by many.

She is survived by her son’s: Stephen (Judy) Hessler of Richland, IN; Martin Hessler of Beaumont, Texas; Mark (Carla) Michalski of Richmond, IN; she was blessed with 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, husband and her siblings: Kenneth, Agnes, Pat, Wayne and Dela.

A private graveside service will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to We Belong Senior Home, LLP, 300 Meadow Ln. Plymouth, IN 46563.
