John H. Clark

John H. Clark, 92, entered into the presence of the Lord on July 12, 2026 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth. The son of Ray and Lillian (Nelson) Clark, John was born in Starke County, IN on December 30, 1933.

Spending most of his life in Marshall County, IN, John graduated from Plymouth High School in 1952. He went on to honorably serve in the United States Army and United States Army Reserves where he was stationed in California for three years. John was a member of the American Legion Post 27 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Upon returning home, John held a dedicated career with NIPSCO as an equipment operator for over 30 years until his retirement in 1993. Through the years, John was active in several organizations including the United Steelworkers of America Local 12775 and S.O.A.R. in addition to being a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose #741, AARP. Sierra Club, National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare, and the Alliance for Retired Americans.

John married Etta M. Robb on April 21, 1974 in Plymouth. They celebrated 30 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on May 21, 2004.

John is survived by his brother, Robert Clark; step-daughter, Rebecca (Arturo) Belmontes; son-in-law, Lloyd Fish; 10 grandchildren; 4-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lillian; wife, Etta; daughter, Renee; step-daughter, Ramona Cook; and siblings, James Clark, Mable Leonard, Mildred Henning, Jackson Clark, and Mary Anne Marocco; along with his sister-in-law, Mildred Clark.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 11AM-1PM at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Memorial Services will immediately follow at 1PM with Pastor Doug Dieterly officiating.

John will be laid to rest at Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth.
