John W. Musser

John W. Musser, 81, 222 Parkview St., Plymouth, had lived in Marshall County since January 17, 2004, coming from Noble County. John went to be with the Lord at 10:10 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2005, in the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Center, Plymouth. He had suffered from lung cancer for a year and a half.
Born in Wawaka, Ind., on July 25, 1923, he was the son of James and Esther Miller Musser. He graduated from Wawaka High School.
He served his country as a soldier in the United States Army during W.W.II. He was a lifetime member of the Kendallville V.F.W. Post 2749.
A truck driver for 57 years, he was a proud member of the Teamsters Union #364. He retired in December, 2003.
John is survived by four daughters. They are Kathleen Lemmon, Fort Wayne; Sandra (Richard) Harris, Plymouth; Jacquie Sons, Plymouth; Mary ( Dallas) Lortie, Albion, Ind.
Eleven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive together with two sisters; Una Ringler and Kay ( Earl) Getts, both of Kendallville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Musser.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 20, 2005, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services, officiated by Tom Padberg, Chaplain of the Marshall County Hospice, will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, in the funeral home.
Military graveside rites at the Bremen Cemetery will be conducted by the Bremen V.F.W.
Memorial gifts in John’s memory may be made to the Marshall County Hospice.
