Joseph P. Wolverton, 50, of 103 North 3rd. St., Plymouth, died at his residence of natural causes at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011.

Born in Plymouth on January 24, 1961, Joe was the son of John A. and Mary Garn Wolverton. He graduated from Culver High School with the class of 1979.

He worked for over 12 years for Pactiv (now Pregis) and was currently employed at the Plymouth Foundry.

Joe loved sports, especially Notre Dame, the Cubs and the Bears, but mostly he enjoyed being with his family.

He was a member and was very active in the New Song Community Church where he drove the bus for the youth of the church. He was also involved with the Tackle box Ministries.

Joe is survived by his two daughters: Andrea and Kile Krathwohl, Plymouth, and Marisa Wolverton, Goshen, Indiana.

He is also survived by his 3 year old granddaughter, Mia Rea.

His mother, Mary Wolverton, Culver, three sisters and two brothers, also survive.

The sisters are Marilyn (Galen) Duff, Culver: Katherine Wallace, Plymouth and Jennifer (John) Schroeder, Reynolds, Indiana. His brothers are David (Jolene) Wolverton, Plymouth, and John M. Wolverton, Koontz Lake, Indiana. Joe was preceded in death by his father, John, in 1989.

Friends are invited to visit with the family and to share memories of Joe from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday, September 30, 2011, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services for Joe will be in the New Song Community Church, 410 North Kingston Rd., Plymouth, on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at 10:30 A.M. Justin Chambers, pastor of the church, will officiate.

Interment will be in the Culver Masonic Cemetery, Culver, Indiana.
