Joyce A. Wenino

March 9, 1934 - January 12, 2023

Joyce A. Wenino, 88, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.

Born on March 9, 1934 in Rochester, Indiana she was the daughter of Walter and Mary (Wylie) Bowen. She attended Rochester High School graduating with the class of 1952. On May 29, 1955 she married Jim Wenino.

Joyce served as a secretary for numerous years for doctor Robertson and Kubley. Known as a quiet and reserved woman that was sweet and kind to everyone that knew her. A wonderful wife and mom to her family.

She had a love for water that would find her swimming and doing water aerobics. Joyce enjoyed family vacations and getaways to Lake Michigan and going to Cedar Point and staying on Lake Erie. She enjoyed cooking and also tending to her flower garden. In fact, she had knack for arranging flowers from her garden. Joyce would spend time hunting for mushrooms and taking in the elegant Michigan fall colors.

Joyce and Jim enjoyed playing cards belonging to a mixed card group and a bridge club that eventually turned into dominoes. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and all that knew her well.

She is survived by her husband of Plymouth; daughter Pam Wenino of Walkerton; son Steve (Shawnda) Wenino of Plymouth; sisters: Sherry (Walter) Brown of Brownsburg, IN; Jackie Allen of Ocala, FL.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jim Bowen.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 2 pm at the New Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel, 1300 Chester Street, Plymouth with Life Celebrant James Smart officiating.

Burial will take place in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the choice of the donor.

    Jim and family-
My mom , Mark and I were saddened to hear of Joyce’s passing! She was such a wonderful woman and friend. I’m sure she is up in heaven playing cards with the rest of the “group”. May she rest in peace forever.
