June E. Breeding

May 6, 1920 - May 14, 2009

June E. Breeding, 89, passed away Thursday morning in Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton, Indiana of natural causes. From the age of nine she has been a Plymouth area resident.
June was born the daughter of Guy M. Breeding Sr. and Florence E. (Schreiber) Breeding on May 6th 1920 in Waterman, Illinois. She received her education in Plymouth and graduated with the Lincoln High School Class of 1938.
For many years June worked as a sales clerk at the Morris Five & Dime Store and always assisting on the family farm. She appreciated nature’s gifts and was often found tending the garden and working outdoors. With those gifts she would share her skills of cooking, baking and canning with her family and others. Visitors to her home never found an empty table.

June is survived by her only sibling; Guy Breeding Jr. of Plymouth and the following nieces and nephews who thought of her more as a second ‘Mom’ than Aunt June. They are: Phyllis (Noel) Hawley, Richard (June) Breeding, Anita Breeding, Barbara (Robert) Craft all of Plymouth and Lyle (Pat) Breeding of Bluffton, Ind. and Keith (Nancy) Breeding of Donaldson, Ind. Numerous great and great great nieces and nephews also survive along with cousins Faye and Jake Heyle of Aurora, Ill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law; Marjorie E. Breeding and one great-great niece.
Family members will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19th in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth from 4 – 7 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20th, her nephew Rev. Lyle Breeding and Pastor Kerry O’Brien will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Argos, Indiana.
